How Samsung phones and tablets compare to iOS devices

To begin with Samsung make great phones and tablets they are usually quicker to bring out new features out ahead of its competition, such as face recognition, Oled screens etc, while Apple usually waits a while until those new advances become more proven. So as a consequence of this their products often feel that they are in beta compared to iOS products.

Another thing that is to the detriment of Samsung is its reliance on the Android OS. Samsung should have fully adopted Tizan as its main os for its phones and tablets. At the moment Tizan is doing well in the Samsungs tv line up and the Samsung watch line up. If they could fully adopt Tizan they could trim the OS to work to its best with Samsung hardware so you get the maximum performance interns of battery life and in hardware performance.  With Android running on 1000’s of different devices and with devices often running on older versions it often makes it difficult for app developers to deliver a polished app experience like on iOS.

The only reason they have not moved fully over to Tizan for its phones and tablets is due to sheer lack of apps available to the Tizan OS. That is the achilles heel of the OS like it was to the Windows Phone OS, which lead to the downfall of the Windows phone OS. What they could do like Microsoft Windows could have done is to have enabled Android apps to function on the OS, then these os’s could have flourished.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be unveiled on August the 29th

Rumours were writhe yesterday that Samsung was going to release a product in Berlin ahead of the IFA 2012 trade show in a Unpacked event. It was suspected it was the the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Samsung yesterday sent out invites to the members of the press to attend their press event on August the 29th but they failed to state what product they would release so sparking off rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 being released.  Today Samsung confirmed those rumours by issuing a statement to Reuters stating that:

We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29,” a Samsung spokesman said on Friday, without elaborating. The event will take place two days before the opening of Europe’s biggest consumer electronics trade fair IFA.

Usually Samsung do not announce such details in advance of their press events. It seems like Samsung are hoping to catch the bit of press attention, before they launch the phone. Samsung will certainly need this attention, because Apple will most likely be releasing their much rumoured iPhone 5 in the very near future, which will likely over shadow any product release or announcement made by Samsung or any other company.

However there has been no official confirmation about the rumoured specifications of the device.  It is expected to come with a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor and with a whopping   1.5GB of RAM that will guarantee speed and fluidity when you carrying out the most demanding tasks.  If these specification are true it will make it faster than Samsung flagship phone the Samsung Galaxy S3 and that phone is no slouch .

The Samsung Galaxy S3 wireless charging dock delayed

Bad news for those waiting to buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the revolutionary wireless charging dock. A website called Mobile Fun has revealed that it will not be released until September accoring to an inside source. The article stated: “We have no further info at the moment on this – unfortunately the latest date for release is approx Sept. 2012.”
This minor hiccup will not prove to be too much of a problem for Samsung, due to the other ground breaking features that this phone will have to offer both on the hardware and software side.
